The PTO is working to create a wonderful partnership with the teachers, staff and parents of children Kindergarten through grade four. Planning is underway for a terrific year of cultural arts events, fall and winter workshops, classroom publishing and our annual Hawaiian Luau!
The PTO is committed to offering many ways for you to be involved in your child’s educational experience. Opportunities include helping in the classroom, attending field trips, helping or baking for special events at different times during the year and participating in various fundraisers throughout the year. Most opportunities to volunteer can also be done at home and during the evenings in addition to the classroom. Fundraising activities provide opportunities and enrichment programs for your child and include our membership drive, gift wrap sale, the Scholastic Book Fair, Square One stationery as well as many others throughout the year.
Please look around the website for volunteer opportunities and events that might be of interest to you.
MISSION STATEMENT
The goals of the Jeffrey PTO are to create a closer relationship between home and school, to enhance the learning environment, to provide and maintain an open network of communication between school and community and to foster parent/guardian involvement in the educational process.
INVOLVEMENT
The Jeffrey PTO needs involvement from all its members. All your ideas, suggestions and talents are much needed and appreciated. We want to thank all members who have already agreed to chair positions and would welcome those who might agree to chair an open position. Please check the list to see which positions are still available. Any committee that you are interested in can always use another volunteer.
VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are the backbone of the PTO. We are looking for volunteers, both long and short term, to work in the school with the children and help out with special projects. If you have time and wish to be involved at this level, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Scott Ciecko, at 318-8115 or saciecko@comcast.net. You may also fill out the Volunteer form that has been sent home with your child and return the form to school during the first week of classes. If you would like to work on a committee or find out more about an open chair position, please contact a member of the Executive Board.
