The Madison Public Schools Board of Education consists of nine members who are elected by the voters of Madison. Each volunteer member serves a four-year term.
Ryan is an attorney who represents insurance policyholders nationally in disputes with their insurance companies. He received his undergraduate degree from Pepperdine University and his law degree from Southwestern Law School. Ryan is currently a student at the University of Connecticut School of Business and is expected to receive his Master of Business Administration degree in May 2013. He served four years active duty in the U.S. Army, including one-year in Baghdad, Iraq. Ryan also donates his time to serve as counsel and guardian ad litem for abused and neglected children, and is a former member of the State of Connecticut's Council on Environmental Quality. Ryan is the proud father of his daughter who recently began her public school education in Madison.
