What's new ?

Can you believe we are already in the 3rd Trimester of the school year?  This year has flown by!  Mrs. Catucci and Miss Hayes have been busy all year working with students and families.  We've been in the classroom doing our Student Success Plans and Comprehensive School Counseling Curriculum all year.  We've been meeting with students individually and in small groups.  We've been working with student groups like Peer Buddies and Peer Helpers.  We've been collaborating with teachers and parents to make sure all students at Brown feel safe and supported.

We also are hosting our third "Coffee with the Counselors" on Thursday April 11th at 9:00, partnering with the Polson School Counselors and Marj Adler from Madison Youth & Family Services.  Marj will be presenting on Building Resilency in our Children -- we hope you can attend!  Please RSVP to your grade level counelor via email.

Finally, we are busy planning transitions for next school year.  There are so many things that need to be done to prepare our students for a smooth transition to the next grade.  We are talking with teachers and administrators about placement, preparing for the incoming 4th graders, and having conversations with students and parents about any concerns they may have about moving forward.  It's a lot of work, but a truly exciting time!  We loop with the students, so Mrs. Catucci will continue with our current 5th graders as they move to 6th grade and Miss Hayes will begin working with the incoming 4th graders as they enter grade 5 at Brown.
